From a young age, I was intrigued by the power of preventive healthcare, which led me to pursue dental hygiene. Working in a dental clinic deepened my passion for the field, and I'm eager to graduate and make a positive impact on people's lives by promoting oral health and well-being in my community as a dental hygienist.

California Dental Hygienists’ Association
Being part of the California Dental Hygienists’ Association (CDHA) has opened doors to endless opportunities. It allows me to network with professionals in my field, access continuing education, and attend workshops and seminars that enhance my knowledge and skills. Membership in CDHA supports my professional development, offers valuable resources, and enables active participation in advocacy and community engagement, all of which contribute to my growth and future success in dental hygiene.
Kids’ Community Dental Clinic Non-Profit
Volunteering at the Kids Community Dental Clinic, a non-profit organization serving low-income families, offered me a profound understanding of the significance of oral health education and restorative care. My involvement extended beyond the clinic, where I volunteered at outreach events, educating students in schools and raising awareness about oral health. Collaborating chairside with dentists and hygienists, I provided crucial support to families with diverse backgrounds. Engaging in these community efforts was exceptionally rewarding and important for me as it instilled in me a strong sense of social responsibility. Contributing my time, resources, and expertise allowed me to actively participate in the improvement of my community, fostering a culture of collective well-being.
